Our Mission
The DJ Armstrong Foundation is committed to preventing youth violence and supporting those impacted by it through Prevention, Responsiveness, and Advocacy. We empower young people, uplift families, and advance systemic change by providing access to scholarships, mentorship, mental health support, and grief assistance, building safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
DAVARIE ARMSTRONG 2025 GUN PREVENTION SCHOLARSHIP
In memory of Davarie Armstrong, this scholarship honors youth who lead with purpose, whether through sports, activism, education, or community service.
Open to 2024-2025 high school grads who have participated in athletics and are committed to their future college, trade, or entrepreneurship.
We're seeking leaders who uplift others, stand against violence, and drive positive change in their communities.

Davarie Weekend
A 3-Event Weekend of Celebration and Purpose
It’s a full weekend dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Davarie Armstrong! Held in celebration of his birthday, the weekend features three powerful community events: the 7v7 Football Tournament, the 3v3 Basketball Tournament, and the Run For Davarie 5K.
Held in loving memory of Davarie, this annual gathering brings people together through sport, unity, and shared purpose. Each event is more than a game—it’s a movement to uplift youth and inspire change.
All proceeds from the weekend go toward the Davarie Armstrong Gun Violence Prevention Scholarship, which helps young people in our community access opportunities, reach their goals, and lead with impact.
